Halloween!
First off, Skullpogo has a brand spankin' new website of its own! Having a game that warrants its own website is such a cool feeling, I could care less how well the iPhone game does. This is already too cool.

Our target release date for the game is October 31st, this Halloween. How appropriate is that? Everything's wrapping up nicely, and I'm really happy with how polished the game's turning out! Here's a few iScreenies for you guys...

And a gameplay video at last! This is me playing Halloween mode with the 2-button control scheme. You can also play the game using Tilt or Seek controls instead.

Congrats on the wicked cool website! The game looks great. Too bad I don't have an ipod touch or iphone but I will encourage my friends to get it so I can play it on theirs!
I'm telling my sister to get this on her iPhone! I love games that use the accelerometer and this looks like a good one in "Tilt" mode (assuming "tilt" means what I think it does!!)
cool site! Unfortunately I don't have an Iphone, will this be released on any other platform like Xbox Live Arcade or WiiWare?
If I had an offer, I would definitely take it. But as things are right now, I can't afford to produce the game for the XBL or WiiWare, as much as I'd LOVE to. Actually, I think it would also be tiny on the new slick little PSPs that came out, with their long narrow screens. Could make for another cool little handheld play.
I have a Flash AS3 version of the game fully coded as well right now, which I'm just holding onto at the moment. I'm waiting to see how the iPhone publicity/sales pan out, mostly. After it dies down a bit, or maybe word gets around about the game, maybe I'll seek out a sponsorship with the Flash version and see what I can do with it. It'd be nice to have a version that everybody without and iPhone can play though, am I right?
Thanks for the comments everybody! Feel free to contact me via email as well if you ever have questions or want to chat.
Hey, I'm loving the game so far! Feature request: the sprites are a bit blurry, which slightly ruins the effect of the wonderful pixel art. Are they being filtered? Could they just be scaled instead?
Because the scale the sprites were originally designed for wouldn't fit properly into the iPhone screen at 1X or 2X, they're scaled awkwardly up to 1.3X, which (without filtering) ruins the pixel art even more than the filtering does. The sprites are designed for the Flash version of the game, and if I have more time and the game picks up on the iPhone a bit more, I will probably do an update with improved higher-res graphics. But that's still to be decided.
Glad you like the game, thanks for the comment!
